Just reminding everyone that next Tuesday night the Young Ambassadors will be at the Derwent Entertainment Centre. From what I hear about the performances on the mainland so far they have been fabulous and well worth keeping the kids up a little later to take all the family and friends to. (The show goes for approximately an hour and a half). Here's a link to give you a bit more information about them http://pam.byu.edu/encorepage.asp?Issue=Spring%202008&snumber=9

· The Young Ambassadors are a group of singers, dancers, and musicians who have gained a reputation for entertaining excellence through energetic, heart-warming musical theater entertainment.

· The Young Ambassadors perform The New American Songbook, a stage production celebrating the best of Broadway, country music hits, Disney tunes, and songs from the 60s and 70s. The Young Ambassadors combine professional sound and staging with captivating choreography into a 90-minute presentation.

· The New American Songbook includes a 10-piece band and a performing cast of 26 singers/dancers. The group is also supported by nine student technicians who control lighting, sound, and give backstage support.

· The Young Ambassadors will depart in May of 2008 for a three-week journey to Australia and Tasmania. This tour will mark only the group’s second foray to the land down-under in their 38-year history of international tours.
