Quilting with Wendy

Thursday night saw the quilting enthusiasts up at the Chapel with sewing machines, irons and ironing boards, busily working on their fencepost quilt under the expert eye of Wendy. In less than two hours two quilts tops were cut out, blocks all sewn together, and rows started to be completed.
Even when too many strips were cut or strips cut too wide Wendy's comment would be "don't worry, it'll work out, we'll just do this.....or that ...." whatever the case may be. Hey with this kind of instructor anyone can learn to quilt!!! Wendy is even known to have said "all quilts should have at least one mistake in them". Yes, that's what we like to hear.

We are looking forward to next Thursday evening of sewing and ironing and maybe even some completed tops ready to baste together. Anyone is welcome to join us, even if you don't want to quilt - just come for a chat!
Thanks must go to Colin who got triplets into bed plus three others so that Wendy could come over to the Chapel to share her talent with us and who then came to the Chapel later to lug the machine and ironing board home.
