What happened on Sunday

1. Sister Helen arrives home from her Temple mission on 6th June. The sisters who meet at Sister Yvonne's home on the 2nd Tuesday of the month have donated some non-perishable food to help her get re-established when she gets home. If any sister would like to donate something can they please bring it along on this coming Sunday or the 1st June and we will present it to her on her on the 8th June.

2. It was great to see Rachael back at church today and she managed to stay the whole time.

3. Piret lead us with the lesson today regarding Baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

  • The ordinance of baptism is necessary for exaltation

  • In all dispensations Saints have been baptised in the name of Jesus Christ

  • The gift of the Holy Ghost brings peace, joy, divine guidance, and other gifts into our lives.

"Tell the people to be humble and faithful and sure to keep the Spirit of the Lord and it will lead them right. Be careful and not turn away the small still voice; it will teach you what to do and where to go; it will yield the fruits of the kingdom. Tell the brethren (& sisters) to keep their hearts open to conviction so that when the Holy Ghost comes to them, their hearts will be ready to receive it. They can tell the spirit of the Lord from all other spirits. It will whisper peace and joy to their souls, and it will take malice, hatred, envying, strife and all evil from their heart; and their whole desire will be to do good, bring forth righteousness, and build up the kingdom of God. Tell the brethren (& sisters) if they will follow the Spirit of the Lord they will go right." Joseph Smith

4. All members are invited to attend Tithing Settlement. A roster is posted on the Ward Notice Board and includes weekdays as well as Sundays
